VALENTINA FROSINI
Nasce a Pistoia nel 1978 e intraprende gli studi di Disegno Industriale
presso la facolta’ di Architettura di Firenze dove si laurea nel 2005.
Dal 2005 al 2007 e’ assistente alla cattedra di Arredamento presso la
facolta’ di Architettura di Firenze. Dopo brevi esperienze in studi di
architettura ha avviato il proprio percorso professionale come
designer free-lance e progettista d’interni.
Ha partecipato a concorsi
di progettazione e mostre. Nell’ottobre del 2008 e’ stata selezionata
per partecipare alla 12° edizione del salone satellite presso il salone
internazionale del mobile di Milano, dove presenta “SATELLITE OF
LOVE”, 5 progetti improntati alla visione di un design orientato alla
simbiosi uomo - animale, la cui chiave interpretativa risiede nel
rispetto e nella valorizzazione del mondo animale, con il quale siamo
in stretta interdipendenza.
Vive in toscana insieme a Silvestro, Grita e
Camilla, i suoi 3 gatti, e ha intenzione di far parlare di se’.
Born in Pistoia in 1978, she began to study Industrial Design at the
University of Architecture in Florence, where she graduated in 2005.
From then to 2007 she became Interior Design Assistant Professor in
the same faculty. After short experiences in various Architecture
studies, she started her own professional path as a free-lance
designer and interior decorator.
She took part to various exhibitions
and contests. In October 2008 she has been selected to take part to
the XII edition of SaloneSatellite at the International Furniture Fair in
Milan, where she showed “SATELLITE OF LOVE”, 5 projects pets -
design - oriented, that want to proclame the wonderful animal
Kingdom, by wich we have a symbiotic relationship .
She lives in
Tuscany with Silvestro, Grita and Camilla, her 3 cats , and she's determined to be talked about a lot.
ANGELO
Angelo e’ la trasposizione a strumento di lavoro quotidiano
dell’emozione che percepiamo ogni volta che alziamo il naso verso il
cielo e vediamo che sopra di noi c’e’ un mondo intero, fatto di “voli
imprevedibili ed ascese velocissime”.
Una porzione di questo mondo si
avvicina a noi, con l’intento di farci assaporare un po’ della
leggerezza propria dell’attivita’ che prospera esattamente sopra la
nostra testa.
Angelo is the transposition as an everyday use object of an emotion
that we feel everytime we rise up our noses to the sky and see that
abowe us there’s a whole world, made of “unpredictable flights and
quick rises”.
A portion of this world approaches us with the intent of let
us savor a bit of lightness in the activity flourishing exactly over our
heads.
DEMOCRACY
Democracy e’ un concept di come dovrebbero essere tutte le
gabbie del mondo, la possibilita’ cioe’ anche per i nostri amici volatili
di poter scegliere se stare indifferentemente all’interno o all’esterno
del proprio rifugio.
Democracy is a concept about how the bird-cages of the whole
world may be, that means the possibility for the birds to have the use
of their freedom.
MON AMI
MON AMI è una seduta che racchiude in sé la volontà di porre in
essere la simbiosi uomo – animale, simbiosi che si traduce sia a
livello di linguaggio che formale.
MON AMI rappresenta un
momento di relax sia per l’uomo che per il suo fidato amico, e le
morbide curve che la caratterizzano permettono all’occorrenza
di ricavare sia una piccola cuccia “SMALL”, sia una cuccia
“LARGE”, semplicemente capovolgendo la medesima struttura.
MON AMI is a seat which hedges in itself the will to obtain the
man-animal symbiosis, realizing itself both formally and literally.
MON AMI represents a moment of relax both for humans and
their faithful friends and its tipically describing soft curves allow to
obtain a”SMALL” or a “LARGE” pet seat, by simply turning the
structure upside down.
